Hi All

Not sure if this is the right place for this post but I need help and advice!!

I've had my Maverick ET732 for a couple of months now, used it about 5-6 times with no problems.
This morning I get up at 5am get the smoker fuelled and ready. pork shoulder was trimmed and rubbed last night so all ready to go but the receiver isn't showing the bbq temp.
I've changed the batteries, tried to re-sync it and turned it on and off loads of times. The receiver just will not show the bbq temp, the transmitter is showing the temp though.
I don't have the meat probe in but have used it this way before with no problems.

Is this a case of me needing to send it back, going to be a pain in the backside today if it doesn't work anymore or if there any other things I can try.
I did take the batteries out of the receiver while it was still on and it reset it but still no temps

Are you turning both parts on at the same time as i find that they don't connect easily if you turn them on one at a time.

Yeah tried to get them on at the same time aswell as turning the units on separately??
I've emailed MacsBBQ but will probably have to wait till Monday now to get a reply.

Atleast its a lovely day here and it just means I'll have to sit in the garden for most of the day, there's also a fridge full of Magners in my garden so as frustrating as it is the unit not working properly its not all that bad

I know your pain, i've had my temperature controller break on me this morning whilst both cookers were full with briskets, butts & ribs which i'm cooking for a catering job this afternoon!!!

It seems your problem is a bit worse than mine, hope its not to much trouble for you.
Thanks Keith, its been off for a while now but just turned it on and still doesn't work, pray harder people pray harder
Mine is nearly at the foiling stage so not to much trouble now and the temps are holding well.

I now know your pain keith, just been to Bookers and got a box of ribs and they wouldnt fit in my freezer
I put the box in the fridge until I could separate them where the odd bit of plastic sheet was and put them in carrier bags, still struggled to fit them in

As I opened the fridge the Stubbs bbq sauce fell out and smashed on the ground so all in all a great day, this pulled pork better be good

Luckily i'd already wrapped the briskets and butt's, and I managed to get everything delivered with a product i was happy with and the customer was as well which is the main thing.

Sadly though it now means i need to ship the unit off to the US to get repaired and wait for it to come back, but i've got comp's and catering jobs over the next few weeks which means i'll need to get something else sorted in the short term

MACS BBQ Got in touch today, very happy with the response.

They are sending out a new Maverick ET732 today and I've got to send the old one back as soon as I can.
They emailed me back Saturday after I emailed them and called today to go through a few things, then they called me back as the boss (Ian) is in China but still took the time to deal with my problem.

I'm impressed with the customer service from them!
