Watched last night's episode and it's nice to see the team cooking without any undue pressure in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. A quote from a judge whilst a team was cooking lamb chops

"....borwors and lamb chops are at the heart of South African Braai, so if you get this wrong you are not just letting yourselves down, but the people who voted for you and destroying the heart of South African Braai"

Not taking it too seriously then :D

This was the penalty cook-off, 3 teams each cooking 3 chops on the same firepit, staggered so they all had access and no-one got 3 good chops :? From the look it was a leg cutlet, a neck end chop and a nice loin chop. The best two only had two decent chops (judges decision the camera didn't get too good a view plus it was dark) and the loser only managed 1 good chop I think. (it got a bit confusing in the editing)

Very keen to see how authentic this is. Don't have access to TV ATM so might try find it on catch-up online

I like the twist of dropping them in different areas, even in posh hotels to prepare "normal" i.e. non BBQ food.
