Happy birthday!
Re: DigiQ dx2 and the cyberQ wifi
i am trying to figure out the import costs for them - they have a distributor in the Netherlands who sells in EUR but the cost is off the wall compared to US prices
Anyone know what the import costs would be over and above the 20pct VAT

If you contact the seller doubtless you won't have been their first customer. I've always been able to get a very accurate assesment of shipping, duty and tax from the sellers.
Re: DigiQ dx2 and the cyberQ wifi
they didnt know - anyway rang the UK Customs correct TARIC code is 8537109999 Duty rate is 2.1pct obviously VAT at 20pct on top of that

You'll also pay vat on the shipping as well as the item. Also depending on who them ship it with there might be a customs clearance change which is normally about £10-£13.
Have you looked at the Pitmaster IQ as Toby imports them and is selling them in the UK for around £140 which will be the cheapest option.

Haven't looked at that option but will wanted something which I can control remotely which I believe limits me to stoker and the cyberQ

If you order items from amazon.com (not resellers on Amazon) - charge you for all duties, clearance charges, and vat up front. If they happen to overcharge you (can happen with fluctuations in xchange rate), they will refund you the difference. Happened to me - could have blown me over with a feather when I got that refund.
Not sure if tese items are sold by amazon - but useful to know for ohter items. If the item is £15 or less inc delivery, no vat or duties to pay.

There was a company selling them at Grillstock last year, I can't remember who but if you can dig up an old online program it might give you details to search on. They may even still have some stock left.
