Where to eat in the big smoke?

Post by Tiny »

Right chaps,
Taking the family to London tomorrow, something akin to sticking forks in ones eyes or chewing on tinfoil whilst shaving ones head with a cheese grater.

But these things must be done, can anyone take the edge off this evil by suggesting somewhere a man may get bbq vitals without having to remortgage?

We looked at pit Q but this seemed to be in remotgage territory and with the likelihood of a prolonged wait

Any ideas welcomed.....leave at 09.00 on the morrow...
Cheers

Bodeans are ok.

Just off oxford street.

You could also try the new Five Guys burgers - not BBQ, but supposed to be good, if pricey for fast food.

The prices at 5 Guys London sum UK food up - In the States, they sell a delicious half-pounder, your choice of toppings and more fries than you could possibly mange (well...maybe not, but lots), all for $6!!

Depends where. I just got back from holiday there. Be sure to add 6% tax to these:

I went to one on Long Island, NY and admittedly, it was a couple of years ago now - Still one of the best (bought) burgers I've ever had - Was excited when I heard they were opening one here, but guessed it'd be UK prices.

Sorry Tiny, there are a couple of "joints" around Islington but I've not tried them and the people I know didn't rate them.

Well chaps,
Home now and I ate precisely.....nowhere.....Because?

London is a 3rd world rat infested disorganised stink hole, I went to the Paralympics last year and it was magnificent, now it is back to being an utter shambles.

"information point" is as feking useless as wheels on a fekin tomato if no-one is in there and everyone we managed to find was entirely empty.

Some signage would be nice, perhaps to the major tourist attractions, well it would seem not, a person has to make full use of their personal zen and karma to find the object they seek.....

It is full of ignorant half wits, if my guide dog is in your way simply push past why don't you you mannerless cretin, I would remonstrate with you but you seem completely unable to understand the Queens English.

I earnestly hope for 1666 II the sequel.

It is a rancid poo pot and if you are considering going there I seriously suggest you consider offset and then searing your own genatalia as a palatable alternative..........

not my usual bubbly self, thanks for listening

I share your thoughts, everyone walking around tapping shite into their phones, heads down & dawdling.

Put the phone away, head up, speed up & be more aware. Hate going in on business as the added commute on trains just peeves me further from start to finish.
