Keith,
Thanks for the kind words, but I think you hide your light under a bushel. I am sure you were once a skilled performer in the folk variant of the fekety fek dance?

The fek fek me thumb dance doesn't have the poetic beauty of the full dance, but as I recall has a touch of the Travolta Saturday night fever to it as you wave the arm above your head with a "yi ay ay ay aye"

For those not familiar but wish to replicate, purchase a cheap chimney starter light and when ready to pur grip the handle firmly and lift. As the pitifully thin steel starts to flex extend your thumb straight out and because the cheapskates have no shield between handle and charcoal place the full pad of your thumb against the hot steel. This should need no more than 0.3 of a second before your thumb begins to blister and let the dance begin.

Buy a weber chimney starter
Cheers

I do ask my wife what flavour or how she wants the ribs and she always comments on the pulled pork but she doesn't want to get involved in anyway apart from eating it and telling me how much washing up I have to do and to tidy the garden after 6 kids have run riot for a few hours :D

Am I lucky in that I haven't learnt these dances or am I and everybody else that sees it missing out ;)

It depends on which demon plagues you slatts. I had to endure the thumb fek-fek dance as The FoodTaster gets involved so I don't have to dance the "put upon partner" dance. A learning curve, best avoided if possible. Stil some suffer that others may learn ;)
