The lid holder is a great accessory, wish I'd got one straight away when I thought about it and before my lid managed to jump off and chip the edge when I was moving it over the block paving!!!

Your right about the performer Ken, looks great but is a lot more expensive over here, The table and lid holder are available as seperate accessories though so if you can get those on a deal or second hand and the Premium cheap it would make a reasonable priced performer Grill.

Oh trust me, it's not just there.
The Performer is $750 here! The Premium kettle (which come with a lid holder here) is $500.The table and lid holder are available as seperate accessories though so if you can get those on a deal or second hand and the Premium cheap it would make a reasonable priced performer Grill.
That's not a bad way to go about it especially if you aren't going to move it much. Are they releasing the Performer Silver there?

As was pointed out a while ago, there is a little, emphasisis on VERY, hook in the lid which is supposed to act as a lid holder, personally I bought a wire thingie which the slid fits very nicely

I have saved a fortune on the lid holder and table attachment.
For the lid holder I am using something called "the ground", by lifting the lid off moving it to the right (this is important) and gently lowering until it sits flush on the patio I have found this a most stable storage device.
The table dilemma I have managed to resolve by erecting a "table" next to my kettle, I dress this to the left, matron, so that it does not interfere or snag on my lowering the lid to the ground storage system.
It is essential not to get this lashed up as if you lower the lid onto the table it knocks everything over.
Whole shooting match was a crisp £10 note.
I , gentlemen, am an integrated global solutions provider...........

Blimey 500AUD for a premium!...They come in about 270AUD over here but I think avg wage is half over here so horses for courses I guess!

Furthermore, when I moved from Weber Kettle to Traeger Lil' Tex, I discovered the "table" (in my case a cheap picnic table) to be just as compatible with the new kit as the old.
How many accessories can you say that about!

Just a thought, and depending on exactly what you want to do with it. The Weber Smokey Joe is normally very affordable this time of year - I picked up one last year for 30 quid.
I know they look like toy BBQs, but they do a decent job of cooking for 2 (more if you are creative).
So why should you buy one of these instead of a-n-other kettle?
a) The build quality is Weber-normal. In other words, it will last much longer than any cheap kettle.
b) If finanace later allow you to afford a Weber Kettle, you won't feel you are wasting money duplicating something you have already bought. The Joe is a useful thing to have in any event.
