Hi, the compartments are for keeping the meat warm, so, as say a pork shoulder comes out of the smoker it would sit in there for the resting stage or until needed, same goes for ribs, BBQ beans, chicken etc. The big cylinder is the smoker the smaller one on the front is a traditional BBQ grill for doing burgers hot dogs etc.

I'm assuming that you have now had time to use it. If so how did it perform? I too have looked at that one, but I'm tempted to import one from the US. I think it's cheaper even with transport, customs and VAT. I'm very interested to find out whether it will be worth the hassle as I've had 2 US firms who were not interested.

I've been looking at most. Meadow Creek TS250 was the first one I fancied, then I looked at a Langs 84". Also a Lone Star Grillz 72" and the choice from BBQ Pits by Klose is incredible.
I would be grateful if anyone could share their experiences of any of these.

Stick burners defiantly look the business, but are expensive to fuel over here and hard work to cook on properly for catering.

The meadow creeks are available from their German distributor in Europe, the rest you'll need to deal direct with them in the US

I take it that you're looking at these big pits for catering with, personally i prefer cabinet style pits as they're designed to be set and forget cookers. Toby's now importing the Ole hickorys which are a great catering pit, although if you're looking for something on a trailer you might want to look at spicewine cookers. I know Jay is more than happy to export smokers to the UK.
