The Jack 2013

Post by Swindon_Ed »

Next up on our list of contests, we're heading off to Lynchburg, Tennessee to compete in the Jack Daniels World BBQ Championships.

I know we were pretty bad at uploading photo's when we were at the Royal and we've got a pretty busy schedule, but our hotels have wifi and we'll be updating our FB page as often as we can.

I have often wondered how it works for Brit teams that get invited across.

How does it work with equipment, the smokers and the 'kitchen' all the stuff you would normally take to a comp. Is there a secret warehouse 13 with a quarter master, call him Q. Who issues you your preferred weapons of choice :-)

Jack Daniels International Village is sponsored by Primo so you can use a load of them, but we're very lucky to have made some good friends over there who have loads of spare kit, so we're able to get exactly the same set up that we use at home to use over in the US.

the best of luck from us all, enjoy yourselves whilst you are overthere (goes without saying of course) and I suspect the competition title gives a nod to the "friendly style" of the people of the South, Happy Competeing.
