...also, one of the attractions of a Kamado style grill is its fuel efficiency - how effective/efficient is it cooking for smaller groups on the XL Kamados?

Guy
You are an inspiration to us all, in selecting this Q you are applying sound reasoning and logical thought.

This is a new and thought provoking approach, In addressing this topic I would have opted for -
a the largest one
b the one I could purchase without having to add on the cost of a divorce settlement

Good luck with your revolutionary approach
Cheers

Actually made me "laugh out loud"...

In fairness your approach is exactly the tack I would normally take - for once in my life I am trying to think through a purchase properly!

I think what I'm really asking is do the XL kamados work well for smaller cooks - is the temp as stable? Does it heat as well/quickly? Once I have got all the answers I will probably buy the biggest and most expensive as discussed ;-)

You'll be pleased to know I have found a review that completely justifies the 'biggest and most expensive' approach!
