Another Canadian has just joined the fold. I have been doing the low and slow cooking for the past 15 years and have built a number of different styles of pits. I am retired from Manitoba Hydro and now run a small BBQ catering business, for extra spending money. I also run a BBQ forum (see signature) and it has been running for 5 years now. We have quite a number of pit builders on this forum, with lots of build info. I am looking forward to "meeting" some new "faces" that share the passion of real BBQ.

Welcome to the Forum, it would be good to see some pics of your set up. As you can imagine we don't have a massive variation of cookers over here and we love to see what other people around the globe are up to.

Here are a couple of pictures of my Stump clone. The cooking chamber is 36" x 36" x 23"deep. It has 5 shelves, but I normally only use the top 4. I generally place a large SS pan on the bottom rack to catch the drippings and make for an easier clean up.





Here is a picture of my FEC100 pellet cooker in my BBQ catering trailer.

Now, after spending the weekend with Jim, I can honestly say he is one of the nicest people anyone could ever wish to meet. But if you do ever meet him watch out if he eats fried food! Put it like this you won't need a stoker to fire your smoker!
