I'm not normally superstitious, but keep your fingers crossed for me folks - just had an interview for the position of development chef at a large bbq joint in town!
Would be a big wage drop for me but a dream job!
Fingers crossed
Re: Fingers crossed
Will do. Good luck.
Re: Fingers crossed
Living the dream! Good luck Rob.
Re: Fingers crossed
Day off, sunny outside, I could be out walking or smoking a pork butt, but I'm waiting for the phone to ring.... RING damn you RING!
Re: Fingers crossed
Got a trial next week! I guess call it an assessment centre. They were really impressed with my bbq knowledge but want to make sure I can hack it in a commercial kitchen first - good call for us both I say. Hooray!

Gonna to have to get some customers up that neck of the woods.
Re: Fingers crossed
Well, truth be told (and this is based on the wife and kid's opinions who can be brutally honest), the barbecue wasn't a scratch on what I prepare. That's why I want to work there! I can make them produce the best there is. *Then* it's worth you travelling up here.
What's your line of work by the way?
