There's plenty of info online for building a mini WSM using the weber smokey joe and a 37cm stainless stock pot. I have often thought of doing that with mine, but the question is, is it really big enough to be useful? That and how long it would stay lit before needing refuelled as it couldn't hold that many coals.

I was thinking more for efficient smaller cooks - like a small pork butt, or a single chicken.

It's easy to replenish the coals as it just stacks together.
