Hi im currently designing a smoker to build next to a bbq whats the important rules when designing one ie vents doors etc thanks

What style are you looking at - offset vs bullet?

your main consideration (aside from air flow) should be ease of access to the coals for starting as well as cleaning out. Some kind of draw maybe with an ash collector.
