Beef ribs

Post by RobinC »

Took a trip to Great Berwick farm near Shrewsbury on Friday. The farm Longhorn beef organically. Came home with 4kg of ribs. Cooked today using a chocolate stout recipe from Marcus Bawdon who I think sometimes posts on here. Totally delicious

They look tasty. If you don't mind me asking what did you pay per kg, never feel like I get a good deal on these, although everything else I buy seems to be a bargain!

I think they were roughly £7.50 a kilo. But it was for longhorn beef from an organic farm. I've certainly paid much less from a high street butcher

I haven't done beef ribs yet, just pork... I keep meaning to go down to Reds in Leeds to give them a try before I make my own but I might just have to have a word with the butcher and see what he can do for me.
