Rolled Pork Shoulder
I've never used a rolled pork shoulder before as I've always been able to get bone in ones, but atm Tesco have rolled shoulders at half price, so I can get a 4.5KG shoulder for about £10-12, which is pretty decent.
Have many people here used them? If so what have your results been like?
Thanks

I've used them and always been ok, try to pick the neck end though as this pulls better.

What he said, it's a much more solid piece of meat. Have cooked a fair few and they were very nice indeed.

I've had a couple of boneless rolled shoulders and they just never seem to turn out well. I now consider them a waste of time which is a shame because they can be cheap. I might run another test if I can pick up a cheap one and finish at a higher temperature.
Re: Rolled Pork Shoulder

How do you know if it's neck end or not if it's rolled?
