Competitions for 2011

Post by All Weather Griller »

Hi Toby,

Can you confirm the prices for the 2011 competitions. As per last year I'd like to register for them at the beginning of the year and Bank Transfer the fees so I know where I am. Can you also make the entry form available to download?

I have the dates in my diary already.

Also could you PM me the BBBQS Bank Details.

Thanks

Adie

Thanks for letting us know Steve.

Me and the Mrs have been looking forward to this for a while now, and it'll be good to finally meet everyone one from here.

Thanks,

Ed

Hi, do you have any timetables for the 2011 competitions?

I'm hoping to attend all 3 and would like to get an idea of arrival/departure times etc as we'll be travelling from Norfolk.

Thanks in advance.

Can't give you the official word but generally you can turn up from Friday onwards. With the national final there's restrictions on moving vehicles during the day Saturday and Sunday. For May I'll be rocking up Friday afternoon then leaving Sunday evening.

Hi Derek, Steve has i right, for the May and July comps you can turn up anytime from Friday pm onwards, best to make sure you are onsite by 2pm on Saturday at the latest.

For August, you can turn up on the Friday anytime upto 10pm when the gates close, if you travel up on the Saturday you need to be onsite before 9am when the gates open to the public.

Friday night is the social night and it's a lot of fun. Teams turn up throughout the day and get set up, then there's plenty of time for a few drinks. We've generally turned up about 19.00 in the past, usually Adie hands me a beer through the car window as I pull up

Think we're going to aim to arrive a little earlier in May just so that we can spend the afternoon in the glorious Tongham sunshine (hopefully)
