Congratulations, you beat me to it (you swine!), I've got a collection of gas cylinders salvaged from hedgerows including a 47kg one and have been contemplating building a reverse offset smoker for a while, so I think I'll just have to get on and do it now, then make my mind up whether or not to keep my UDS or not :D Let us know how you get on with yours won't you?

That looks good, how long does it take to heat up and how steady is the temp

The first smoker my father made was out of an old school tall locker as a weekend hack job. Worked OK.
