I am currently away for a few days in Berlin and was out roaming the streets as you do and stumbled across a weber store that included a grill academy, obviously I had to drag the family in to check it out. It was a really impressive show room with all of the grills, smokers and accessories that weber offer on display as well as some vintage ones as well. They had a 1957 kettle and the first gas kettle of 1973 which were pretty cool.
Following this I met my wife after she had finished work and one of her colleagues husbands is one of the first people in Berlin that offers authentic American BBQ. What are the chances of that? Their name is 'Big Stuff Smoked BBQ' and I have arranged to meet with them today to check it out. Will add a review and comments and hopefully some photos of it all when I return home.

Re: Berlin
Unfortunately my daughter fell ill today and we have been stuck at the hotel nearly all day so was unable to meet up with the guys from big stuff smoked bbq, pretty gutted but what can you do. However did check out the natural history museum this morning before she flaked out and they have some pretty amazing dinosaur fossils on display, ribs on a brachiosaurus would be awesome

Re: Berlin
Well we managed to get the little one of to sleep eventually and Nanna said she would stay with her if we wanted to go out for dinner. So did a quick search on google for other bbq joints in Berlin and found an establishment called Chicago Williams BBQ which was a quick jaunt down the road so decided to check it out.
We ordered the meat platter for 2 which had chicken, ribs, pulled pork and beans. The food was ok but nothing to write home about, it wasn't smoked so obviously a big let down on that front and the pulled pork tasted like gammon. However the ribs and chicken were quite nice, juicy and tender so ticked that box and their home brewed beer was bang on (suppose the Germans always do good beer).
Well that concludes my trip as back home tomorrow, hopefully will come back when the wife has more business out here, and meet up with the guys from Big Stuff Smoked BBQ.
