Hiya, My first ever garden so outdoor living time!

Post by Kent_Lee »

Having always lived in flats thus far i have always wanted an outdoor space and to have some outdoor living, finally i moved into somewhere with a garden over christmas, so this years summer will hopefully involve more outdoor time!

Love a good BBQ and always fancied some smoking, so currently i am planning a UDS build, ordered a drum smoker kit from Big Poppas and just sourcing a drum right now (emails sent to few suppliers).

I know i could have got the parts etc much cheaper than the BP kit, but frankly when i looked at getting the right size grill, getting a fire basket welded by someone (or making a fiddly non-weld one) sourcing right size bolts, vents and handles etc etc i figured the higher cost of the kit was just easier and more convenient  everything needed and simple instructions sold it to me.

So hopefully one of the suppliers ive emailed will get back to me, and i can get a drum delivered soonish, excited to get burning, building and testing before the height of summer arrives..

I am in Kent and looking forward to smoking etc!

Looking forward to seeing how your UDS turns out.

I wasn't brave enough to jump in with a UDS to start with so got a Bullet smoker instead. Kudos for giving it a go!

Your Avitar is great fella - I spent a good few seconds trying to rid my iPad of the flea. To add insult to injury we de flea our pets like clockwork so was really annoyed for a second or two :o

Well my kit has turned up and looks awesome, easy to follow and good quality looking parts etc. Still having issues with drum suppliers sadly, communication doesn't seem there strong suits. Was planning on UDS build this weekend but looking unlikely with no drum confirmed and it now being Wednesday.
