Hi

Whilst I know that the internet is the best resource for info I do like to sit out of an evening (when its warmer) with a Nescafe Irish latte and a touch (dollop) of whisky, that reminds me I have to go to ASDA, doggy veg!! with a book and muse and dream of what my food should be like. Now having scoured loads of forums here and over the pond I have come up with a list of books and I want them all. But looking for the sage among you as to which are the 3 you would buy and keep close at hand? And those you wouldn't bother with and any others I should be looking at?????

Franlins BBQ is a great book, as are Pitt Cue for a more recipe oriented read. BBQ Crossroads by Robb Walsh is another very good book, although not on your list.

Amazing ribs .com has about as much as you could need to know and coupled with this forum I'd say sorted!

So save the money and buy a bigger hunk o meat !:)

Amazingribs.com is an excellent resource. I started with a lot of the recipes and modified them and I've received glowing feedback.

I received the Franklin BBQ on release day and read it in one sitting. A great book which tells a story, which struck a chord with me, plus excellent information on smoker construction, wood, meats, plus beer. I'm looking forward to trying out Aaron Franklin's Espresso barbecue sauce.
