Hi All, glad to see there is interest in this, House is finally finished now just an acre of landscaping to do. I will have time to sit down over christmas and work out a couple of dates for a competition BBQ boot camp. The bootcamp will include full demonstration of competition meats, presentation, rubs sauces and I will be giving out lists of basics that will be required over a competition weekend. There will be a small cost involved to cover meats etc but I will be keeping it to a minimum.

Looking forward to you announcing the dates for this Toby. I should hopefully be able to attend.

For those looking at competing in a Pit Masters competition for the first time this year there's a brief beginners' guide on the Pit Masters site http://pitmasters.co.uk/competition-guide/

It's worth remembering as well that the suggested kit list on the page may look a bit daunting but you can get away with a lot less kit and many of the old hands have spare kit that they let people borrow at competitions. :D

The first BBQ Pitmasters cooking class will take place on Saturday 19th March, starting at 10am and finishing at 4pm (approx) The class will take place at Minley Nursery, Spoil Lane,Tongham, Surrey, GU10 1BP

The Days agenda is as follows

Ribs Prep
Chicken Prep
Lunch
Brisket Prep
Pork Prep
Competition Box Presentation

Every person will be prepping the 4 main categories, Chicken and Ribs will be cooked on site and the Pork and Brisket will available for you to take home to cook.

Pork and brisket will have been cooked overnight and will be served for lunch.

Price is £75 per person, or £100 per couple.

It is important for me to be able to give personal attention to everyone and therefore places are strictly limited. If the class fills quickly I will add an extra date to the diary.

If you are interested in attending please email me toby@bbbqs.com

Regards

Toby

Alas, I'll be in a plane flying back from California that day. Still, will look forward to hearing all about it and looking at the pictures.
