Fribin Ribs

I've read one of the threads on here and Fribin Baby Back ribs seem pretty good. Can anyone confirm if the ribs come individually wrapped or if they are frozen together in one big lump?

Its getting the buggers cheap enough which is the problem

Meat Packs are just short of £50 for a 10KG box where as Bookers do similar meaty ribs at £30. Tesco's I am told do decent ones too

Yes , that's what put me off fribin. Sound like good ribs but too pricey. If you find anywhere cheap let us know!

I've had tesco ribs and been pleased. Not cheap but not terrible.

Spoke to the fribin Rib distributer direct and he wanted £2.50 to £2.95 a kilo but you have to take a full pallet so as usual they just doubling up on their wholesale price

That sounds more like the sort of price I'm after.

We should do a co-op buy and get a pallet. Lol.

Who are the disties? Perhaps we can get a butcher or wholesaler to stick them. Someone like Wing Yip may be interested. They are very open to new ideas - they started stocking beef ribs after my suggestion.

Not really - their prices are very reasonable. And yes, I was taken aback when the chap I emailed said it was a good idea, and 3 days later he emailed me pictures of three samples he got from his meat supplier and asked me which one I thought was best.

Ahh yes. They are near me. I rang them years ago and they said they only deal in pallet loads. They are major distributors.
