KJ BGE Inset Table

Post by Dduffs71 »

Hi All - I've just purchased a KJ Stand Alone and plan to get a table for it to sit in, does anybody know of a joiner that could make one for me? Cheers

Any joiner will make one. I made my own from 3 x 2 and old pallets, it's a bit wonky but still holding out well after 3 years. The only critical dimensions that a joiner needs are:-

The cooking height you want, this determines the height of the shelf that the kamado sits on
The diameter of the hole required
The movement of the lid hinge (which determines the height of the table)

Other than that, it's just like building any other table and a darn sight cheaper that buying the manaufacturer's table.

For heat protection I sit my kamado on a welders mat.

Cheers
