Hi,
Decided that its about time I made more effort with the bbq. swmbo is a South African and the inlaws had a little dig last year when I struggled to get the coals going. (naff coals, no lighter blocks or fluid and a good few beers)
Already got the lighting sorted with heat beads (they are fantastic) and a chimney and can now cook without burning everything.
Looking into getting a weber next month to start smoking during the winter. I have already mastered pulled pork in the oven.

welcome! can't go wrong with a weber kettle.I would go with the 57cm if you have the money or a wsm for more versatility and multiple levels to cook on. I've used a 57 for15years now.
