Thanks, that's really helpful, which pellets do you prefer?

Re: GMG - Daniel Boone
Different horses for courses, I like the fruit blend for poultry and light smokes like fish, love the hickory gold for pork and ribs and am still experimenting for beef. The texas oak from GMG which I hoped would be a heavy smoke isn't, it is an ok flavour but seems to burn faster than most.....at the moment my best brisket was a blend I mixed myself a third each of mesquite, oak and cherry all from single woods and then mixed myself. The oak is American and lighter than british oak, I am hoping that we can get an English oak pellet for a really solid heavy sloke......

Well I've taken the plunge
Went for the stainless steel Daniel Boone with wifi. Ordered two bags of fruitwood blend and two Texas blend. Had the confirmation email but nothing since, anyone know American bbq's shipping times?

Hi, They were generally splendid, but there comms were pretty weak. I would get on the phone and talk to them. Also they will let you mix bags provided they are in the right multiple so you could go for 1 bag of Texas oak and one of the hickory gold. I would suggest doing this as the hickory gold is excellent with pp and ribs, but I was disappointed by the texas blend.
It will arrive on a pallet and you may want a mate over to help as it is pretty bloody heavy
