Hi Tiny, thanks for the reply. I did think 60 quid was a bit steep. Glad I asked now. I have 2 bags of GMG fruit already, so I'm good to go. [THUMBS UP SIGN]

I bought the DB Thermal Blanket, for my Traeger - not an exact fit, but it wasn't hard to make adjustments, and it has been on there since. It should be noted the Traeger is under a shelter so doesn't get rainfall, but it is otherwise open to the elements, and the blanket has protected it well. Not to mention it reduces pellet usage.

In my opinion, the blanket is much better value than the plain cover, but only if it isn't being rained on.

Well done lad, this is a sage investment, I spent an happy hour giving mine a full spring clean. In the promo videos it suggests you don't need to hoover out the body more than about once a season, this is an lie. I give it a good go after using about 20lb of pellets.....and buy a cheap hand held vacuum from the interclacker as it seems the one the missus uses in the kitchen is not suitable for BBQ cleaning :)

But very happy smoking you have bought an gem
Cheers

Thanks Tiny, I'm looking forward to getting it. Since last year everyone seems to be getting one and recommending it.

Should be much easier thatn faffing about with charcoal and wood.

Will keep my UDS but just for special occasions when I have nothing else to do.lol.

You won't regret it - Monday to Friday no hassle smoking and as you say get the dirty stuff out when you do have the time to enjoy it rather than stress over it!

Well, Daniel has landed! I couldn't wait till the weekend and assembled it and just done some piri piri chicken as a quick test. It was yum! Great amount of smoke using fruit blend.

Very happy bunny. [SMILING FACE WITH SMILING EYES][THUMBS UP SIGN]

1 thing though, I have an extra plate with holes in apart from the drip plate. Where on earth does this go?
