The drum is a 45 gallon the dimensions are 88cm x 59cm.

The exhaust for the cooking chamber is 9.3cm in diameter and 48cm in length (can add more or less length as only the external portion has been welded up).

The firebox (gas tank) is 41cm x 30cm.

The outlet chimney from the firebox is 12.5cm in diameter and hasn't been cut to size yet but will probably be around 18cm in length.

For the air inlet opening on the firebox I was going to make a rectangular opening (easier to cut) and I was thinking something like 10cm x 5cm or 15cm x 3cm.

Hope those are the dimensions you meant.

Thought I'd give you a better idea of what it will look like. The holes are cut for the firebox outlet now just needs welding up.

Im afraid the holes are cut into the drum on that side, so I would have to weld and patch-weld pieces on, to cover the hole. It would also involve cutting up the frame the gas bottle is mounted on.

Would the design I have not be ok as I'm going to make it a reverse flow? Perhaps if i make the hottest end of the reverse flow sheet metal thicker than the other end?

The measurements are drum: 34.6" x 23.2"

Cooking chamber exhaust diameter: 3.6" and around 18" in length

Firebox: 16" x 11.8"

Firebox outlet: diameter 5" and around 10-12" in length

The fire box inlet would either be around 4" x 2" or 6" x 1.5"

Thanks for the advise. Are those measurements in inches or cm?
