BBQ for camping

Post by Jediboy »

Hi
I'm off camping at the weekend (bit late i know) and am after a small charcoal BBQ to take. Thinking smokey joe size but hoping to find something cheaper as it may only get used a couple of times.
Tesco and Argos and the like have the sort of thing I'm after, but wondered if anyone here has any suggestions.
Thanks
Chris

I ended up buying a Landmann Piccolino from Homebase for £8. Bargain as they're normally £40-£50.
Had to drill a couple of air vents in it but worked a treat and ideal for camping.

I love the Weber go anywhere.
It's expensive but I've grilled and smoked in it.
Even did a BBQ for 6 on it once.

Have a look at the Cobb bbq. Excellent camping bbq. Coals last for ages and you can do a bunch with it. Grill, smoke, fry bacon eggs in the morning. And more important you can light it and cook in about 15 minutes with a Cobb stone.
Good luck
