Mayhem in May 2012
As the threads regarding this year's competitions are now starting to appear I thought I'd add one for Mayhem in May.
This year will be my fourth MiM and in my opinion it's a great competition for new teams to cut their teeth in. There's a very social atmosphere at the event and with it being held as a private event there's no added pressure from being on show.
One of the great things about the event is that the advice and help is free flowing from the experienced teams. This year with the meat prep rule changes, I'm sure most of the veterans will trim their meat in advance so will likely be available to give new teams plenty of time to help them with trimming and prep.
The idea behind this thread is to give first timers a chance to ask questions in advance. I'm sure teams will chime in with helpful responses so please don't be afraid to ask any questions you want.

Hi Steve, just noticed your new profile picture and although I know that there are some of us on the circuit who could do with losing a few pounds, there is really no need to resort to liposuction!

Only now you mention it have I looked at the pic and thought it could look like lipo rather then injecting.
The ironic thing is that I was injecting dripping into a briskie in that shot so I was putting fat in rather than sucking it out

Will be there, chumping at the bit for it to come around. First comp for us last year and the bug hit big time. Any new teams, why not give the rest of us a shout.

Re: Mayhem in May 2012
I have been pleasantly surprised with the amount of early interest i have received from new teams. Normally inquiries don't come in until March / April. Most of the teams dont go onto any forums, for example last year over 30 teams competed at the different events throughout the year and we probably only see 9 or 10 floating about (without counting).
Its going to be a great year, and I am looking forward to meeting old and new teams in May!
