I'm gonna buy the pitmaster iq from the states. The issue is over adapters. They aren't selling the international adapter. Can I just use a travel plug and use it in our sockets or will I need something else?

This one is defo for Ed, he got a batch from the US a while ago and got UK adaptors for them. Argos and such places sell 12v multi plug adaptors if you can't get the one he suggests.
The only daft question is the one you didn't ask when you should have. I admit I wouldn't be able to use my ProQ without my Ique

Still researching controllers
No experience of iQ but loads of members here have them and will chip in with comments....
Looking at the new partyQ myself, seen some good feedback . Its battery operated and a smidge cheaper but apparently does a similar job both units are simple however depending on ur requirements have limitations.

The new cyberQ wifi looks awesome too, but is a "fully featured unit" and for ultimate user control......Runs on 100-240VAC (for worldwide use) or 12VDC, all bases covered there then....

Cant understand why no one makes them shower/ rain proof tho........

Any standard 12v DC adaptor will work, Maplin or eBay will get you what you need, I can post a picture of the one I've got if that helps

I'm sorry I have'nt added to this but I've seem to of missed the boat with this one. The power surply that I puchased for everyone are these 12v DC 500ma power surply: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/12V-DC-500mA- ... 3368253b49
As you can see they are cheap enough and know one has had a prob.
