OBR Helping the unfortunate

Post by Eddie »

When visiting the American Royal I spoke to some representatives of Operation BBQ Relief. A charitable organisation that helps people after a weather or national disaster. It's nice to see that a charity come up with the goods when asked for. Here is a little video of their fine work in Hershey last year http://www.fox43.com/news/wpmt-operatio ... 2693.story
They are at the moment dealing with the aftermath of the weather disaster in New York and New Jersey. If you would like to find out a little bit more on the work that they do, please take a little look at their web site http://www.operationbbqrelief.org/
If a charity to help the homeless in GB wanted a couple of teams to give up a night or two once a year to cook up some grub, I'll be up for it.

It seems that now the OBR resources are running low and more revenue is needed to help the homeless and hungry resulting from Hurricane Sandy. I do understand we all have our own expenses and financial commitments. But our BBQ friends across the pond will deeply appreciate our help in whatever you can spare. If you would like to contribute please go to the following link: http://www.operationbbqrelief.org/ http://www.facebook.com/OperationBBQRelief

Thank you very much.
