Morrisons 'Smoker'

Post by Pecker »

My local Morrisons are selling an oil drum smoker for £80.

I have absolutely no idea what it's like, as it says very little on the packaging, and the photo is inconclusive at best.

Now just to be clear, it'll be crap. :D But the first kettle barbecue I bought was a supermarket cheap job - the idea was that I saw if I liked it/used it or not. I did, and so went on to buy a Weber, knowing that (a) I would use it and could cook on it, and (b) it wouldn't rust after 5 minutes.

Does anyone have any experience with this Morrisons 'smoker'? Does it work, or is it just a barbecue in the shape of an oil drum?

According to the Sun (I don't read it, it just came up in a search), some Morrisons, at least, are already discounting that to 60 quid.

Whether that is lack of confidence in their product, or the British summer, I have no idea!
