Hello,
Though it was about time I registered on here as I this place has been mentioned by a few BBQ people on Twitter now.
Spent many years watching Dad do BBQ's in the garden for the family and friends or at catering events as part of a team cooking for thousands of people sometimes. So a few years back when I moved into my new house I saw his heart break a little when I went and bought an Outback gas grill for quick and easy use in the garden. But my love for BBQ got the better of me, and after a few weak attempts at smoking on the Outback at low temps last year and getting mixed results I decided further investment was needed. And so armed with a discount website voucher that was due to expire and fuelled by NYE alcohol and celebrations, at 3.11am on New Years day I actually managed to type in my card details correctly and I bought a ProQ Frontier and all the associated kit including a ProQ cold smoker.
So 5 months in I have done a few pork shoulders, some racks of ribs and some moinks and am now looking forward to trying beef ribs, brisket and ox cheeks.
I'm still experimenting all the time with different rubs and sauces and different smoking wood types. I am always willing to learn more and would appreciate any help or guidance that people are willing to share.
Thanks and look forward to posting more and chatting to the people on here more going forward

Ha,ha. No. They are still pleading ignorance. Don't see how you can put 'Tweet a pic' then claim it's a Facebook competition. Then also if you look at their FB their does not seem to be any announcement of the winner of the Haiwaiian comp on there either. Scoundrels.
Tempted to pour my SBR sauces down to loo in protest. Ha,ha.
