Hi chaps,
Couldn't find a website feedback section specifically so I thought I'd post this here.
As far as I can see there is no option to select a normal desktop style layout of the forum. And when browsing on my phone it's quite restrictive and more simplified which isn't a good thing. It makes the forum very narrow which cuts off a fair bit that you'd usually see, I.e. Who the last person was to contribute to a thread on the subforum and generally just cuts off one side of the forum.
Can a desktop view option be added please?
Thanks.

If you're browsing on a smartphone you may want to take a look at tapatalk
Re: Forum layout for mobile devices
I have used it in the past and agree that is is a good solution, but I browse a few different forums and bbbqs is the only one that supports it. So I can't really be bothered loading up an app just to look at one forum.RobinC wrote:If you're browsing on a smartphone you may want to take a look at tapatalk

What are you trying to access it from?Scantily wrote:As far as I can see there is no option to select a normal desktop style layout of the forum.
I've accessed the forum on iOS & WP8 and can view desktop layout. I know from my day job that if it's Android it can be a real pain in the a$$ to support where each manufacturer has their own version.

Hi, the main issue is when browsing from my iphone, what I see when constructing a post is this -Swindon_Ed wrote:What are you trying to access it from?Scantily wrote:As far as I can see there is no option to select a normal desktop style layout of the forum.

and the forum itself in general is very narrow.
I can view the full width of the screen on my iPad but I can see no option for a proper desktop view on either, unless I'm missing something obvious. In general I dislike layouts designed for mobiles etc unless very well done, so usually opt for the desktop view.
Anyone else have the same problem?

Re: Forum layout for mobile devices
When accessing the forum i always go to the site homepage which has the 5 latest posts displayed so i can shortcut to a conversation that interests me.
I will look into adding a full site button however its silly season for the events now and am unlikely to be able to arrange any changes for a while.
