IGrill
Hi all, anyone tried the igrill? I was looking at getting one, then saw that the leads mustn't touch the grill grate. Hey aren't wire bound (which i normally go for) so I'm wondering how useful it is after all? Looks like a great but of kit but not sure about probes. Thanks.
Re: IGrill
I hear the mk2 isnt too bad but I bought a friend the mk1 and it was not really up to par. He went for a maverick this time around!

Re: IGrill
I have replied to this already but it doesn't seem to be posting. Thanks for feedback. What about probe wires touching the grill? Will they melt? Thanks.
Re: IGrill
I have the iGrill 2, cant say I knew anything about the cables not touching the grills.
The cables are not plastic coated, they are wire braided. But all works good so far.
Only issue I have is trying to get hold of spare probes/ambient temp probes in the UK

Sure it said in the manual not to let cable touch grate.
If spare probes are a problem to get I think I'll skip it.
To be honest I'm not even that bothered about the remote part I just want robust and reliable.
Re: IGrill
It could be that the thermocouple won't work when it's grounded.
I have one for an arduino that won't work when grounded.
Makes positioning it quite tricky!
