Just tried this recipe out of the Reds book, and I cannot get it to work. Several other recipes have been superb and photography in the book is great.
Has anyone tried it or have a decent recipe for a cheesecake like this?
Thanks.

Hi
Tell us what your process was and we may be able to help, but there are loads of recipes on line as its an American copy of a thing called "Buckeye" Cheese cake

The part that I can't seem to get right with the process is creaming together the sugar (300g) with smooth peanut butter (120g). Seems too much sugar to get the right consistency and the cake ends up overly sweet with only a hint of peanut butter. I guess drop the sugar and increase peanut butter to get the correct consistency.
I will look for some buckeye recipes. Thanks.

Hi
Too much sugar me thinks also..............Are you putting salted peanuts in the base? are you baking in a water bath? did you let the cheesecake cool in the oven with the door open?
Try this......
for the base
• 200 grams digestive biscuits or Oreos or other
• 50 grams salted peanuts
• 100 grams dark chocolate chips
• 50 grams soft unsalted butter
for the filling
• 500 grams cream cheese
• 3 large eggs
• 3 large egg yolks
• 200 grams caster sugar
• 125 ml sour cream
• 250 grams smooth peanut butter

Cheers. I will give this recipe a go. Is it baked?
The cheesecake in the Reds book is an unbaked recipe and I was not using salted peanuts in the base but that appeals.
