HELP!! What do you want from your smoker?

Post by Smokemaster123 »

Hey guys,
I am a design student at the Loughborough University and my aim for my final year design practice is to create the perfect smoker for homes!

I wanted to gain insight on what makes the ideal smoker, any tips and tricks you guys don't mind sharing or comments about your current smokers!

Please help a fellow BBQ enthusiast out! :D
Thanks
Vibe

Are you going down any certain route? I.e. Are you only thinking charcoal?

I don't own a BGE purely down to the price tag, or any ceramic cooker but I think they have it down for easy temp management with coal and then there are pellet smokers that use electricity but even these you need to learn your cooker. Purely down to it being such a big thing in America I think it will make a hard project, but all the best to you! I'd love to see your results

I was thinking charcoal, but using an air purification system to make it safe for indoor use.
Thanks for your feed back! I'll take as much as I can at the moment!!

Charcoal indoors needs to be very carefully managed if you're to avoid killing all the home occupants with carbon monoxide poisoning.
