Aldi £4 pork shoulder - test cook!

Alright, as part of the Xmas food junk shop, I spotted Aldi were doing these.

The one I picked weighed 1.5kg and was £3.81.

Comes with a fat cap that trims off nicely, should make some half decent cracklins.

My interest in these - Aldi will have no doubt brined these to hell and back to get more moistuure into the meat - saving me a job!

So I've got one on the smoker right now and shall let you know in ~10 hours!

If it was brined it would have to say so on the label. I can't see anything on there so I can only assume that it's not.

I've had their shoulder before and it wasn't brined.
