I've been looking at my 47cm WSM and keep thinking that i'd like to have it mounted in a table so i've got a good prep area next to my smoker to make it easier for foiling and other bits.
My thought was to buy an old Weber performer off ebay and then take out the kettle bbq and fix the WSM inplace instead.
Sadly i've not seen a preformer for a while to see if this would work, does anyone else know if it would be able to fit ok?

Re: WSM table conversion
Did they do an 18.5" Performer or was it 22.5" only. If so then the table won't sit perfectly around the WSM.
I'm sure you'll have already looked here but just in case...

Re: WSM table conversion
I never thought about using a gas grill with a hob on the side. Very cool ideal
Re: WSM table conversion
IMHO, trying to set your Weber into a hole or building something attached to it might look the part, but unless you're prepared to put in the effort a separate folding table would do the job, with a lot less hassle too
