First smoke tomorrow - tips on pork loin

OK, so finished the build this morning.
It's currently running empty as i type, just being seasoned.
I picked up a 2KG joint of pork lion this evening, along with some spices i need for the rub, ready for tomorrow.

Any tips on cooking times, etc?

Cheers

Luke

Re: 2 racks on a UDS

Almost complete. I cut up the grill on my old BBQ and used it for the sides of the charcoal basket.
Going to order a 42cm paella pan for the ash catcher, then it'll be ready.

Re: 2 racks on a UDS

I stuck it just below the first rack in the end, but can always add another.
Spent some time on it at the weekend. Barrel is all done, but need to find an ash catcher tray and side mesh for the charcoal basket - I have a 43cm weber coal rack for the base.

I have just the one rack at the mo, but will set it at a height, so there is room to add one below at a later date.

struggling to find some expanded steel, for the sides of my basket, but will go out on the hunt tomorrow. Other than that, I have all other parts :D

Re: 2 racks on a UDS

will do, but still need to know how the lower rack is removed, when the supports of the top rack are in place.
Is it that there is enough clearance, between the top and bottom racks, that when you tilt the bottom rack, there is clearance to get past the supports for the top rack?

2 racks on a UDS

OK, so I have my barrel, weber lid, grill and plumbing parts. Burning out barrel tomorrow night and will get to work at the weekend on it.
I like the idea of having 2 rack, so I can get more in it (thinking ribs feast), but have not seen anything on how the lower rack would come out if it was the ...

Re: the right barrel

So I've picked ip the barrel. Thinking that if i take an angle grinder to the outside edge of the lip, i can still use the lid?
Also hoping that not too much of the paint comes off after the burnout.

Re: the right barrel

For the charcoal basket, i was maybe thinking of one of these - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BBQ-Barbecue-Charcoal-Grill-Portable-Table-Cooking-Tray-Outdoor-Garden-Camping-/331201285465?_trksid=p2054897.l4275

with an expanded steel mesh round the outside, to look something like this - http://i118 ...
