Smoked it with apple chunks at 250f until it reached internal temp of 170f. About 4hrs.

Teeny tiny bit of rub under bacon and glazed with blues hog original and Tennessee red BBQ sauce mixed with vimto... Tasted good!

We mix some rub in with the mince before we start and glaze over with our BBQ sauce

Sorry for bringing an old post back to life but do you guys overlap bacon to make it longer?

Bacon isn't as long as the fatty pictured above (at least not the stuff around here!)... I'm giving it a go now - well currently preparing so have just made 2 smaller ones but next time I'm guessing to overlap bacon to make it longer/wider etc?

Didn't overlap, the bacon I used was Tesco rashers which are thin and stretchy (no pun) should do another one really.. Gonna try with Oscar Meyer bacon
