New WSM
After about 3 or 4 years of me using my 47 and 57cm weber Kettle BBQs, My wife has taken pity on my and bought me a 47cm WSM for xmas! I'm going to do my first cook on it tomorrow. I have tried a new butcher as the last one had got a bit complacent and wasn't living up to my expectations. The new ...

Hanging Pheasant
Guys, I haven't been about here for a while but have a question about pheasants if anyone will know.
A guy at work today came in with a few pheasants shot by his uncle on Saturday. He gave me one but I'm not 100% sure how to deal with it. I read a bit on 'tinternet today about hanging it and have ...

Re: Weber Go Anywhere
There's plenty of info online for building a mini WSM using the weber smokey joe and a 37cm stainless stock pot. I have often thought of doing that with mine, but the question is, is it really big enough to be useful? That and how long it would stay lit before needing refuelled as it couldn't hold ...

Re: Piling on the weight - the confession thread!
Well done Tiny.
I too am prone to being on the beefy side. At my heaviest, I was just shy of 19st. When I was younger I mixed and spread concrete for a living, then when I left college I moved into IT and worked in an office, the weight went on quick!

Re: Weber Smokey Joe £49.99 in TK Maxx
Take a look at the jumbo joe as well, not just as compact as the smokey joe but has (IMHO) much better vent configuration which will allow more control if you ever try to roast anything. I've smoked full chickens in the smokey joe before but made a grate for it to sit on. I need to do something ...

Re: Weber Go Anywhere
Weber do a smaller chimney, specifically for the portable BBQs.
I have this, along with both the 37cm smokey joe and the weber go anywhere. It holds the perfect amount for the smokey joe but not just quite enough for the go anywhere. I think it was desinged just for the smokey joe when the go ...

St Patrick's Day
It's St Patrick's day again and this marks 1 year exactly from I got into low and slow smoking rather than bbq grilling. As it's a family tradition that we BBQ on St Paddy's day I have just been down the butchers and got a rather meaty rack of pork ribs which I'll be putting on in a few hours here ...

Re: Weber Go Anywhere
Yeah, weber has brought them back, this is after me searching for one for ages and finding one in a car boot sale last autumn.
The smoke Joe is OK as well, better with the Jumbo Joe though.

Maverick ET732 Losing Connection
Just before Christmas I bought myself a Maverick off ebay which came from the States. It came to about £42 all in and was brand new in it's box. This was really because I was doing brisket and pulled pork over xmas and didn't fancy having to keep going outside in the cold to check temps.
